Data Governance Protocol

Privacy & Data
Ethics Framework.

Last updated: March 17, 2026. This document outlines how SumoMetrics Research collects, processes, and protects high-signal metrics while maintaining the highest standards of user confidentiality in Tokyo 51.

01.

Acquisition of Metrics and Signal Data

At SumoMetrics Research, we distinguish between raw data and high-signal metrics. Our collection processes are designed to minimize footprint while maximizing insight for business optimization. We collect information through three primary channels:

  • Automated Telemetry: Technical metadata including IP addresses, browser types, and navigation patterns to optimize our lab's digital delivery performance.
  • Consultancy Inputs: Proprietary data sets shared under NDA for the purpose of deep-dive statistical modeling and research methodology execution.

Algorithmic Integrity & Usage

Our data processing follows a "Privacy by Design" mandate. We utilize the information collected to:

Optimization

Refining internal research models and predictive metrics accuracy.

Communication

Providing technical updates on analysis progress and methodology shifts.

Security

Detecting and preventing fraudulent interactions within the Metrics Lab interface.

Compliance

Adhering to Japanese and international data protection laws as applicable from Tokyo 51.

03.

Retention Cycles and Hardening

We do not store data indefinitely. Retention is strictly governed by the lifecycle of the research project. Once a consulting engagement is finalized, PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is scrubbed, while anonymized metrics may be retained for longitudinal benchmarking.

Security is enforced through AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Our physical lab in Tokyo 51 maintains localized server architecture to ensure data residency requirements are exceeded for our high-stakes enterprise partners.

Request Your Data Audit

You hold total sovereignty over your identifiers. Under Tokyo 51 jurisdiction and global standards, you have the right to access, rectify, or request the erasure of your data at any time.
